The idea for IntelComp was born out of firsthand experience with the chaos and complexity that small businesses face when trying to meet cybersecurity compliance requirements — especially CMMC and NIST 800-171. Spreadsheets, scattered documents, outdated templates, and manual processes dominated the landscape. For companies that didn’t have a dedicated compliance team, the journey to compliance felt overwhelming and costly.

We saw a gap — not in the need, but in the support. Existing tools were either too complicated, too expensive, or simply not built with small to mid-sized contractors in mind. They were designed for auditors, not for those trying to get ready for an audit.

That frustration became our motivation.

IntelComp began as a vision shared by a team of compliance professionals, cybersecurity consultants, and system developers who believed there had to be a better way — a simpler, smarter, and more supportive platform to help businesses prepare for audits, manage requirements, and track their progress with clarity.

From those early conversations came a shared mission:
